I dont usually like to share a lot of personal things on my site however, I recently married the most wonderful girl! She is also a designer and illustrator so we collaborated to design our big day. Below shows our invite which is letterpressed and silkscreened. The envelope for the invite is a blind debossed with an icon system we developed that tells a little story. On the reverse of the actual invite we tell what a few of the icons mean to us and in turn tell our little story. Each guest at the wedding received a set of 4 silkscreen note cards designed by us. The guest who stayed the night at the President Hotel also received the below silkscreen tote bag we designed. A few shots from the actual day are also below. It was a beyond great day and all our wedding collateral material turned out really fun. For much better and larger views of our stuff please visit LemonLime Photography. Our favorite fellas who did a wonderful job for us!
Tad - I really enjoy following your blog and seeing your latest and greatest work. Your branded wedding collateral is awesome. I love the use of the icons, and then the descriptions you provided to go with them. Your wedding guests are really lucky to have received your limited edition notecards and totes. Congrats!
Congratulations Tad - everything looks super, and so very pretty for your big day! I'm in the midst of making my own invites for the big day next year, and I can certainly hope that they'll be as lovely as yours! :)
I can't thank you all enough! So many nice words. We love how much it turned out almost as much as each other. Ahhhh. How cheese. :) Thank you all so much! :)
i saw your invitation suite on the 100layercake blog and continued to gush all over your wedding to my coworkers for the rest of the day. so beautiful! i think my husband and i actually bought a couple of vahalla's posters at flatstock at sxsw this year, too. small world!
would you mind sharing what typeface you used for your names on the invitation? it's a great modern script. thanks!
Shallowly judging by the one photo posted of him here, it looks like your dj was completely unlike every other wedding dj I've ever known, which I mean as a great compliment. May I ask how where you found him?
thanks Brenda,
He is not a wedding DJ at all. He is a very successful DJ in his own right and performs under the name NoMathmatics. He is a buddy of mine so I talked him into supplying music for our day. It was amazing!
I came across your wedding invitations etc and fell in love! They are amazing and so completely perfect. Thank you for the inspiration. By any chance would you mind also sharing what typeface the body text is made up of? Love your work!
wow I love that green invitation.... Now, I am green with envy. haha seriously I love color green and I never imagine an invitation would look this gorgeous in green...Really lovely. :)
I really loved reading your blog. It was very well authored and easy to understand. Unlike additional blogs I have read which are really not good. I also found your posts very interesting. In fact after reading, I had to go show it to my friend and he enjoyed it as well!
